QUESTION: How high should I mount a temperature and humidity probe inside the MeteoShield® Professional?
ANSWER: Ideal sensor height is between 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches) above the sensor mounting plate base as shown in the illustration.
The sensor should be mounted such that it is high enough above the metal mount so as not to be affected by its thermal inertia and solar heating. It must be low enough to not be affected by the baffles inside the shield which absorb solar irradiation that penetrates the white top.
